places near airport

i just have one day to travel in chennai, because my flight from chennai airport is at 2.30am but i will arrive in chennai one day before. i don't want to miss the flight and i hope i got sufficient time to tour around before going home. Any suggestions?

If you have limited time and want to explore chennai's few tourist spots in a most economical way, You could try out Government of Tamilnadu's Local sight seeing tour.

There's a clean restaurant at the airport*. They call it a "food court", though "yard" might be more appropriate. It's tiny, but still manages to cram in a selection of vendors, including plain S. Indian Veg.

Sorry, I don't know what to do with the luggage, though.

*it's right at the end of the building, outside, past International Departures.
