For as computer literate and connected my husband is on-line, he doesn't do the "internet-meeting" thing. Just the way he is

Jackiegear, are you directing this bizarre stuff in #23 to me? You started this thread because you were looking for information. I provided it just to be helpful. I'm signing off now. I hope you have a nice time in India.

I am not directing anything at you. Infact I asked for information about MGM and have been advised by certain people that it is unsafe. You then came in and said it was safe, so thank you
but it hardly my fault if you get a barrage of people who disagree. I certainly didnt force them to reply. So no, of course I am not directing this bizzare stuff at you. You have directed it to yourself. Bye have a nice day.

So, Jackie, when you mention me by name, accuse me of getting a cut of the ticket sales at Dizzee World, and say that I am living in a "cuckoo land," you are really just being neighborly?

Well, I am so sorry. I did find your article interesting as I wish to go to the place and I am somewhat bemused at the reaction. I have been called 'incredulous' and, can I be serious, by certain people myself. When I said you are getting a cut out of it, you are advertising your writing which is about the place and you dont want anyone to get wrong impressions of your article and you also sounded like you work for or at least have a lot to do with amusement parks so I suppose I picked up on that. But I do agree with the others that there is not real safety standards in India. I cant be bothered with this anymore. Bye. Jackie

I fully understand. My husband is totally the same. He hates meeting new people. I love it myself, especially after they have asked me if I can be serious and called me incredulous. I am always interested in meeting people rather than writing to people endlessly and never seeing the face behind it all. Mind you, sometimes I really can't be bothered with people - I blow hot and cold and find some people a bit rude and not worthy of meeting. Dont take any notice of me, I am a complete cow at times.

Where did I say getting a cut of ticket sales? You read that into it. I meant getting a cut, as in advertising your article you had written about amusement parks. Cuckoo land to me, means a bit like burying your head like an ostrich and missing the obvious. However, I dont mean to be nasty. I just am. LOL.

Yep. I know. I just looked. lol.( as they say) well, how can I get out of this one. I think I will blame it on the wine and I dont blush.Yes, I think it time to call it a day now too. Its getting to intense. I only wanted to know about MGM. I tried to get into Fishermans Cove but they were full so it looks like I am going to the very unsafe MGM. I think the hotel will be okay but I MAY after all avoid Dizzee and go and get eaten up by a crocodile too. Is it safe there by the way? They dont let them run free do they. No hard feelings Mr Merchant. I guess I just thought you worked for amusement parks full stop. Bye and have a nice day as the americans say.

You crack me up. English sense of humour obviously. Love it. Well I think I will lie low for a while just incase Mr Merchant susses my faux pas. I am excited beyond belief at the next month or so. I am going to have the best time and so much information I have gleaned from this forum. Its like being in India already. Do you have kids? My daughter, I think I have already told you, is 17years old. Last year she loved India as everyone was coming up to her and asking for her autograph and a photograph with her. Anyway, I am treating this forum a bit like a chat shop or whatever they are called... chat rooms and I actually dont go on those because believe it or not I hate them. Thanks for all the info and it WOULD be nice if we met up. Nucleur doesnt want to and has made that clear but I dont see any harm in meeting the odd person. Ships pass in the night too often. I love these little icons. wish there were more of them.

The wall in that Crocodile-Park sign, is what they are actually like. If you want to lean over and feed your hands to a croc, or toss in the youngster, you could . Having seen them been fed on chinks of meat, that latter is a particularly horrible thought.

If they have one of suitable age, you'll get to hold a baby too. The baby I held didn't seem much of a baby to me! I was expecting something a few inches long.

Yes. I know what you mean. We went to the Everglades in Florida about 12 years ago and my daughter was young and daft enough to reach out to a croc whilst we were in the boat. I was video-ing the croc and suddenly saw this little hand reach out to stroke this huge beautiful puppy dog eyed croc. I screamed and dropped the video camera in shock. She nearly lost her hand and I nearly lost my camera. So we have experience of crocs. I,too, held a small one, about 18 long, carefully holding the mouth tight so it couldnt bit me. Are the crocs the same as USA crocs or are they different types with the funny shaped snouts in India? I forget the name.

The house we used to live in,in Lyme Regis used to belong to Harley Street Physician called Doctor Mutch, his wife invented Milk of Magnesia. The garden was a huge Bamboo garden and he used to keep baby crocodiles in the pools there and Rhesus monkeys for some sort of research. Apparently when the monkeys came in with bitten fingers he would know the crocs were getting too big and that it was time to send them to Regent zoo. Weird story but totally true. We ran the house as a hotel. Not any more. Too much hard work. Gave it all up years ago.

I am just a layabout now.

Anyway, enough of this foolish banter. We will go to the croc centre. It will be interesting to see their safety methods dare I say. J.
