Go to neither. Perhaps Queensland is better - not sure even about that!

Visited MGM a few months back. Was there around 11 am and JUST 3 rides were operational and running at that time. The whole place looked deserted (Of course now its summer hols and it would be crowded). Still the whole place was so shabby.

We saw men repairing the machines laying under one of those rides. When we went near it, the guy was like 'Sir, wait for half an hour. The ride would be up and running' !!!

They are very different parks. Kishkinta has themed water rides, a replica of the Kutralam waterfall, lots of greenery with places to walk or sit, a small lake, etc.

Dizzee World is a traditional (and older) amusement park, with standard-issue rides.

If you are used to the sophistication of amusement parks in the US or Europe, Dizzee World is not going to interest you. Kishkinta, while still modest by Florida standards, has some nice touches, including a water ride that takes you through the ruins of Ankor Wat.

Would Dash-n-Splash be an alternative option?

"Black thunder" at Coimbatore(near Metupalayam) is just a great water park. I have been to Kishkintha,MGM..nothing to beat Black thunder when it comes to water parks. As someone mentioned MGM is "usual" stuff but in MGM the "ranger" ride is just the best. I would say better than the roller-coaster they have. It has been years since I have been there, so it is hard to say if there are any developments. I would go to MGM than Kishkintha, in Kishkintha only the "kutralam" falls was good.

From what i heard MGM Dizzee world has been shut down due to a court case against them. I havent been there but drove past it a few weeks back and did not see any one at the ticket counter section. We just drove by and it seemed that nothing was operational. And the pool section or whatever it is called is apparently still open none of the other rides though.

And i could have sworn that i posted a reply to this thread earlier but it seems to have disappeared.

Its around 350 Rs now

@ thejag, you seemed to have a similar experience as we did! When I went, there were just 3 rides operational and none in the water segment

Thanks a lot for your replies. Both MGM and Kishkinta are charing Rs350 or so. Both of them carry ads on Hindu and Chennai Times almost everyday. Therefore wanted to know which is better. Both seem to be no good by the reviews..!!

wow when I went it was probably at it's peek. 350 and nothing working is a real waste. I guess best is to go for that car-racing..kart attack or something?
