Hotel / pick-up in Madras
Hi all!!
The 20th of march I arrive in Madras at 01:40 at night. Does anyone know if there is a good hotel (not too expensive!), with quite a good service, where they can pick you up at the airport (at night!)? peace maarten

irrespective of the hotel, you can take a "Pre-Paid" taxi from the Airport. These taxi's will drop you off at the hotel for reasonable amounts. Tipping the driver will give you great service as well.
Depending on your budget you can select a hotel.

...thus missing out on Chennai altogether, and beginning your visit here with a one-hour-plus car drive.
I'd advise against that. But more information would be useful, and an indication of your budget is necessary before anyone can give any recommendations.

That is not right: almost any hotel, or guesthouse even, will arrange a pickup for you. Just the luxury one's might throw it in free.
Hash, please do avoid the SMS; u, dat, dats, are hard for our non-English members to understand, and oldies like me have to think about it! |

Hotel Pickup
Well, you can also book Hotel Vijay Park near Koyembedu bus stand. They will charge Rs.2000/- per night and also arrange a transportation. I know a transporter who provide Car rentals. You may also contact him at 09444804665. Mr. Logaraj.
