Hop on Hop off tour

Hi,

I was looking up the hop on, hop off tour online and learnt that they have 2 routes - one within the city, and the other to Mahabalipuram.

I'm interested in taking up both tours during this month. Would love to hear feedback, tips and suggestions from anyone who's taken either or both these tours.

When I was there last month, I saw only one route Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Chennai.

Our family took the Hop on Hop off bus to Mahabalipuram last month. We left Chennai at 9 am and stopped at Dakshina Chitra (great place to visit!), then picked up the bus an hour and a half later and went on to Mahabalipuram to see the temples. At every place you stop there is a sign posting when the buses drop off and pick up. However, on our way back to Chennai, we waited for almost an hour at the bus stop because one of the return buses somehow got diverted (no real explanation given!). Other than that, it was a great experience and gave us a chance to see a lot of the ECR area.

Thanks for the links on the tours

I've gone to Pondicherry for a weekend but I am going to do the Chennai tour. I'm staying at the New Woodlands Hotel in Mylapore. I've been to the Santhome church a few times. What's the closest place to Mylapore to buy the tickets? Will probably do this tour next weekend since I have plans for this one.

Thanks.

I'm interested in taking the Chennai tour. Just curious if you would like some company taking the tour. I've done the other tours already but would like to do the chennai tour. I stay in Mylapore. I'm here for the next months working on an IT project over by Ascendas at the STPI building.

How about next Saturday?

I could go next Saturday if that's good with anyone else that would like to go. We could meet at any of the ticketing locations. I am at the New Woodlands Hotel in Mylapore so its not difficult for me to get to most places here or there If next weekend is not good, the following weekend would also work for me. I am here in Chennai until December at least.

Thanks!

Week after would work Oct 24th

How about the 24th of October? If that's good for people we can decide on a place to meet and do the tour. I'm looking forward to getting around more in Chennai. Been to a number of places but would love to see more. I have no lack of things in mylapore to see and do and places to eat at

Hi-

Saturday the 24th is the only day this upcoming weekend will work for me. The following weekend I am taking an extended vacation and travel to Mysore for the weekend so would have to wait until after that.

I'll confirm the date later this week when I see how scheduling works out.
