Help with job search in Chennai.

Hi fellow indiamiker’s,

I am in the process of moving from Minnesota, USA to Chennai India, If anyone works in IT or have any contacts in IT please help me to get an interview, I thought going though a reference route will be much easier than applying directly to a company, I have 13 years of experience in IT and 10 years in USA. Please send me a PM so that I can email you my resume.

P.S: I can legally work in India I don’t need a work visa sponsorship.

The major reason is family, I have 2 kids and it is becoming very difficult to manage them without any family around, and parents are alone so would like to be near them during their old age. Life in USA is becoming monotonous and IT is becoming hot in India so thought it will be a good time to be part of the IT revolution happening in India.

It happened already!

And recently developers are asking permission to use IT Park buildings for other uses, as they are finding them hard to fill.

But, don't worry: I think there will always be a good job here for someone with good experience.

This is more to do with (loss of ) tax benefits for STPI / IT companies and they prefer to move to SEZ (special Economic Zones), not slowdown in IT industry per se.

Cheers

Job Search help

Hi, ISN,

Sorry to be posting this to the entire group, but I do not have PM priviledges yet. Its good that you don't need to deal with work visa issues; this simplifies things considerably.

My employer is always interested in top-notch technical talent, especially with overseas experience. Could you please send me a resume and the details of the type of position that you are searching for? Please email it to 607535@gmail.com (yeah, I know, here comes the attack of the SpamBots; this address is only temporary) I will check if your skills fit with our needs, and if so, I will pass your resume on to our HR dept. We have a US division, so perhaps we can get you in contact with them before you return to India.
