Hi all, I was hoping to find out about important cultural events in india and seems this festival is one of them! Is budget - midrange accomodation a problem in Mid December?
Any suggestions in places to stay in Chennai? |

A lot of people come for the season*. Accomodation could be a problem, yes.
A friend of mine maintains a very good calendar of Chennai concerts: see his blog here The best overall guide to "The Season" is the Kutcheribuzz guide here *added to which, it is peak tourist season for Southern India, due to the cooler climate and Christmas holidays. I nearly forgot that rather vital reminder!  Book ahead!
