Well, I know osteopaths, physiotherapists, and one doc who combines western medicine with yoga practice.

Dear Nick, I cannot write private messages yet so I ask you here with my first posting ;o)

I think of moving to Chennai for 3 years and working there for a company building a new plant. I do have constant problems with instability of my iliosacric and lumbar joints. Here I have people who do help me (twice a week) to unblock my joints - I am then painfree. I can only imagine to move to Chennai if I will find someone there helping me with my problem. But - I had to search very long to find these special doctors to help me. A lot of osteopaths here in Germany for instance did not... as it seems that many orthopaedics and osteopaths do not recognize a blocked iliosacric for instance...

Do you know if there are osteopaths, physiotherapists or similar who could help with that? Could you eventually give me an address (e-mail would be best) to ask them personally?

Recently, when my wife had an arm injury, we clarified that he is actually a general medical practitioner and not a bone specialist. That was our misunderstanding. However, he certainly combines yoga with his practice. Here is is his web site. You will only have to travel to the other side of Adyar

Dear Nick-H, I have been looking not so seriously for a chiropractor in Chennai for quite some time. I had an osteopath taking care of me for some years but now he has moved back abroad. From the thread above it seems there are no trained/qualified chiropractors here. What is the next best thing.
I have lower back pain and weakness, can't bend to the ground or sit long without great discomfort.

Don't know how this works - do I get an email notification of reply or do i have to keep searching . . . we'll see.

This is my 2cents/rupees: I did the chiropractors in the States, spent a small fortune like all my friends, and I also found that there were no chiropractors in India. BUT I found that a good yoga teacher was better. Find someone in your local area who has found a good teacher and try it out.
