I searched in net & found that there are very lovely places to go around in chennai...

I only want to know that is there a tourist bus availble in Chennai, who shows you all the places in a day only...

Although a great fan of Chennai, I wouldn't honestly claim that, as a city, we're big on Beauty!

I don't know if there is such a bus; I don't think so. I would recommend that you take a car maybe with guide for one day at least.

Chennai's attractions are pretty-well covered in other threads on living in/visiting the city.

Here's a link

http://www.chennaihub.com/

If you go to the lower right hand corner you'll see tour bookings. Don't know if they do a city tour, looks like it though. But you can ask.
Hope this helps.

You can hire a car and a driver to get you around Chennai.

This is Tamilnadu tourism official website. They have Chennai tours

http://www.tamilnadutourism.org/

A private tour operator

http://www.parveentravels.com/page/t...hennaitour.asp

I read they were planning an open top bus tour of Chennai. Not sure if they have launched it yet.

Cheers

You may believe, but I live in it.

But I love it too, for all its warts and ugly (and smelly) bits, and I believe and hope you will enjoy your visit

If you establish your itinerary, you can go from place to place by auto, just the two of you. It will cost you less and it will be fun.

That sound like fun trying to explore the place on your own. Good luck and have fun.

No, we both friend will are only looking for tourist bus... The reason is only the security as many people will be there in tourist bus. As we both don't know the city well, we can't think of getting in auto.... But thanks for all ur suggestion....

And to the other member's this thread, thanks for all your valuable suggestion.

Ann... book a car from a travel company.

You will have the travel company address, name etc.

You would be safe even as single girl --- with two of you there will be no problem.

It may cost you Rs1000 or something --- but you will have a comfortable day. You can request an English-speaking driver.

The tour bus experience is quite something too. I did one with all the honeymooners and out of towners in Delhi. Brilliant however if it's comfort you want get the car as Nick says!!
By the way Chennai LOOKED nice as I drove though it!! And it still has the best bus station on the sub continent!
