Chennai Hotel near Chepauk Cricket Stadium

Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel near Chepauk Stadium, Chennai?

4,000 to 5,000rs per night woudl be ideal.

Australia plays India there in cricket in Mid October.... I think i might book early.

Look just to the West on your google map for Triplicane High Road.

Triplicane is guest-house land.

I don't know about mid-plus budget places, though: you might find it difficult to spend that much money in that area! But I do not know it well.

You could be very comfortable in a hotel like New Woodlands for that much money, and the auto-rickshaw journey to the cricket would be bearable.

Usually the cricketers stay at Taj Connemara, thats close to Chepauk... Maybe you can try there, i dont know what are their rates. It is 5 star

I am wanting something pretty nice. My 72 year old father will be accompanying me, and he wants to know that he is going to be comfortable.

It looks pretty good. I think it is about 4km to the ground. It may be a bit further than what i'd ideally like but it has some good reviews and a website he can check out himself to put him mind at ease.
