Couple of questions

Does Rs 2300 seem a reasonable rate for Air-conditioned Ambassador Car "inclusive of all expenses related to vehicle like fuel, permit, toll, parking and driver allowance"?

If we leave 7.30am does 12hrs seem resonable time to see sites at places mentioned .. we do not mind long hard day !

Will getting away at 7.30am let us avoid worst of morning traffic in Chennai or would you suggest an earlier start?

Hi,
The taxi's charge you a minimum of 350 kms per day @ rate fo 6/- or 7/- per kms plus the drive's allowness. I advice you to leave chennai as early as possible to avoid the morning traffic and you can spend more time in the places.

Hi, Perhaps I should have indicated that I have been offered the rate quoted ..
From what you say it sounds reasonable ..
Would you leave earlier than 7.30am?

Perhaps the hike in petrol price explains the daily rate. I was paying Rs 1800 per day in that area in April this year. I had a promised air-con Ambassador too - it was called winding the windows down!

according to me its a wee bit costly lets for a tata indica (a/c) they should charge you 225 kms *7 + driver bata (usually 150 to 200 Rs per day) + other parking charges and stuff on actuals basis. i think you have been quoted around 300-500rs higher
