Travellers to Chennai should read
" Was in Chennai over the last weekend , and was to fly out on the 14th Sept. There was a call taxi arranged by the Hotel I stayed at.The number used was 24344848,Calltaxi at the hotel arrived late in the night to take me to the airport for my flight at 6:40 hrs, We left at 5:15 hrs. I got off at the airport and the driver springs out to get me a trolly for my luggauge(Surprised - I am not used to this ). I load my stuff and roll it in to the passanger area to realise I dont have my Camera with me. Had left it in the Taxi. I run out to realise that I dont have any detail , No taxi number - no driver name...nothing I look around without help.

I then call up the taxi service - explain it to them (They understand english well n I do not know Tamil)
Sir - Pl give me a minute I shall trace it for you.
Sir - where did you take the taxi from.
Third statement is : Give us one moment . ...
I am thinking I ve lost it .
Sir - driver name is - Abrahim
Sir - Taxi number is 4569
Sir - he has crossed Guindy (few KMs from the Airport )
Sir - Where are you standing ?
Sir - He shall take 5 - 10 mins to be there.
And in rolls the taxi in exactly in 5 mins to give me the camera to capture more memories in times to come.

THANKS TO CALL TAXI OPERATORS.

And I Strongly recomend all to take there services. These guys run on all routes in all directions. And they cahrge you whatever is shown on the meter.

A spot of good luck and quick thinking.

I left mine in a Internet shop in Palolem and went back 2 hours later to find it been neither found, the owner had had no reports of it and it was gone.

Had I not uploaded and burned the 275 photos 2 hours earlier I would have been vexed. Well, more vexed.
