Best Place to stay in North of Chennai

I currently put up at Central chennai (Vadapalani area) but due to personal reasons, I wish to change my apartment.

I would like to stay in North chennai, I know it would be far from happening areas but I don't have a choice.

What do you guys suggest. Budget is around less or around 20K for a 3BHK looking for a furnished house. Let me know if you have some house or area in mind.

Would you consider Anna nagar as 'north chennai'? It's a very good area ... though I suspect current rents are higher than your range for a furnished apartment. How about Kilpauk (it's still quite happening) or does that get too central?

Anna Nagar/Ambattur is easily connected to Puzhal via the ring road. If your need is to move northern than that - viz Thiruvottriyur or Ennore or Manali, you can possibly look at MMDA colony. Its been a while since I. went that side of the city though and from whatever I know, it always had water issues and was considered as the lesser desirable part of the city to live in. I can check and find out for recenst updates.

I totally consider Anna nagar as north along with mogapair, ambattur and nearby areas. Given your take, I know Anna nagar is happening and at least a planned place(looks like), do you guys suggest Anna nagarwest or annna nagarwest extension, this house depends on a lot of factors, first is the location,and proximity with everything asi don't have a vehicle as of now, secondly the rent and no crazy house owners? With my present house I learned that house owner should never stay in the same building otherwise life is shit.

I have decided the area to stay. It would be in Anna nagar west, Anna nagar west extension and Mogappair East, which means easy access to 100 feet road.

Does anyone have a broker in mind or any owners here who can help me out. I am looking at a budget of 25K max. for a 3BHK for a furnished house.

Unrealistic.

a friend stays in 3BHK in Shanthi colony, 22K 3 BHK fully furnished.
Another one stays near to Icici Bank connected from 4th avenue, again 24 K fully furnished.

Trying to find something of the same sort.

Just recently shifted, from 13.5K it's now 20K (2BHK not furnished). Nothing acceptable was in the same (~14K) range, and most of the ~18K 2BHK offers are also out of the acceptable conditions. It looks like the things are a bit up.

BTW, keep in mind that the hot season is the 'dead' time at the rental market.
