I checked with the same friend and it seems the single room might cost only 2500 to maximum 2750 now and I made a mistake it was 1500 Rs at that time
I was going to say that property prices have increased by a factor of several times, and now rentals are catching up with them.

Hi Some,

No, I am not able to get the mansion name for you.

I got IT job through campus interview around 1998 and at that time , My Classmates who are not able to get a job, worked in smaller companies with very less salary or somebody worked for free too(Believe it or not) JUST for gaining the required experience and that's what I meant by 3000 to 4000 and yes you are right now it may be definitely more and all of them got into good companies after 11/2 years to 2 years with Equvalent salary or better salary and just I meant that example.

Yes, BPO experience will not be counted for IT but atleast we will learn soft skills /Team behaviour / Talking to groups/ and also we will get out of our Shyness/ Stage Fear etc (If at if anything we have) + We will be in self-supporting mode.

Reg, Water scarcity, you could check with the inmates on that.

To Be Frank , I ran out of all my points and yes, definitely other IM'ers who is better informed might pitch in for more help.

@Nick,

That Rent is just for a single room in Mansion and not a 1BHK Or Paying Guest Accomodation and that's what I heard from my Friend .

I understand both your points. The first is sort of like an unpaid internship and the second a means to support
oneself till we get a job based on our skills while gaining some teamwork experience.

Can anyone please advise if you are staying in a mansion/guest house as discussed above will that be considered a valid postal address for correspondence by banks etc? And can you post that address in your resume while applying for jobs and is it proper or does it look odd?
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks
