Well, yes...

Doesn't Chennai have it's birthday this week? Or was that last? Certainly it sometime about now.

Who is your mridangam master? How long have you been learning?

err... its supposed to be the second longest beach... not largest. at 11 kilometers there is a lot of it and definitely worth a look in the morning or early evening. later in the evening it gets crowded like crazy...

It is a strip of sand between a city and an ocean. Lots and lots of people, quite a lot of litter, quite a lot of people selling things. If you are charmed, for instance, by the beaches of Cornwall, don't bother with our Marina beach; no it isn't worth it.

The beaches further South are more pleasant, because less crowded, but even then, around 6.00pm, they can get a bit busy.

Welcome to IM. Please start a separate thread in the following forum for advice. not many people will see your post hidden away in this thread. And also do not forget to search around. a lot of info probably already exists.
