if the airline is same or code share, it should be fine.

Should be very easy. About 40 minutes to spare I would think. I flew Lufthansa, and all their gates are close to each other too. Frankfurt is also an easy airport to navigate. You should have time for one or two German brews.

We did a Lufthansa flight to India with a stop in Frankfurt & I think we had an hour but it was no problem at all.

When I flew Lufthansa to India via Frankfurt I noticed that the gates for the arriving US flights were pretty much right next to those for the departing flights to India. I wouldn't be surprised if US-India traffic provides a sizable chunk of Lufthansa's revenues (I don't think any other airline services as many destinations in both countries) and they seem to plan for such transits well enough. As long as your flight from Chicago isn't substantially late, you should be fine with this connection.

that's absolutely enough time. I've done three trips to India all from Chicago to Chennai via Frankfort and you'll be fine.

Should be fine even if the landing and boarding are in 2 different terminals. Frankfurt is an easy airport inspite of its heavy traffic. You should be worried if it is LHR though And don't forget those German brews
