if i know right in burma the driver doesnt get to see the oncoming traffic while overtaking, since the driver sits on the wrong side.

singsub..
not only that-the burmese autobahns are single track roads built
by the british 80 years ago

the potholes and the frequency of them makes speeding impossible
think about it-potholes on the main hiway

The first one is India ,ive seen it before .Notice that the flow of traffic is continuous and that there are no collisions ....Good driving

The bottom two where recorded in Hanoi from a cafe overlooking the square ,just by Hoan Kiem Lake , around the corner from the Ngoc Son Temple (Jade mountain) .More motorbikes then India which in my opinion makes crossing the road even more life threatening ,but good fun

Especially when many of the bikes don't stop for red lights!

The traffic in Vietnam is the craziest I've ever seen (though I haven't been to India, yet, so I can't compare).

The first couple of days I was there, I just walked around the same city block over and over until I finally got up the nerve to cross the street!

Splendid mental image there

You've seen our How to Cross an Indian Road I trust? (Hey, there used to be a video there, and a pretty hilarious one at that, involving the maker filming his valiantly crossing a four-lane road, no mean feat while looking through a camera lens the whole time I'd say. Nadreg, it's not loading, where is it?! Or am I just blocking it.)

FAITH is the key to successful road crossing in Vietnam. You look at the approaching riders - and step onto the road, then proceed to cross at a slow but steady rate (maintaining a steely gaze towards the oncoming stream of riders). Miraculously the flow parts around you. Nerve wracking the first few times - then a breeze.
