I'm from Finland and so I've travelled a lot in Europe but not elsewhere. It's too much to list, there are not many european countries I haven't visited. But my favorites:
Austria, Vienna A lovely city which is not too big. It's beautiful, there is many historical plases and museums to see, good shopping opportunities, a river in the middle of which there's a little island, Donauinsel, where people go sunbathing. It's a perfect place for holiday because there are so many things to see and to do. Hvar, Croatia A wonderful, peaceful island. It's the most beautiful place ever, the see is clear and turquoise and the villages are small and lovely. Love this place! Bournemouth, UK It's in England and there are palm trees...! I thought it would always rain in England but I was wrong. It can be hot and sunny too. This is a very nice city with a great beach. And I love english people with their friendly small talk! Taize, France A monastery, where there also is a community for young people around the world. The country side is idyllic and the people there are so kind. I'd totally go there again to meet people all over the planet! Italy I love Italy in every way, I can't pick one place! It's perfect: the delicious food, good looking men (who give much attention to a blond girl like me ), the sun, the caffee, the atmosphere... everything...But in two weeks I can add INDIA to my list! I'll fly to Delhi 13th November and I'm so excited!!!!! |

Hmmm... I don't think my list is very long, but i hope it will be longer... :-D
I live in Norway, was born in Korea, Seol (but was adopted to Norway when I was 9 months...) Lived part-time in UK 2005-2006 (travelled to/from Norway every week) Sweden (all over) Denmark (all over) Germany (all over) Grece (Crete) Spain (Canary Island, Fuerteventura, Malaga, Barcelona, Mallorca) Bulgaria (Sunny Beach) The Netherlands (Utrecht) Japan (Tokyo, Hakodate, Hiroshima, Kyoto) Austria (Vienna) Will go to India (Hyderabad) in January and hopefully Hawaii and USA in May. And yes, Copenhagen in December, but that doesn't count as I have been there lots of times... My favourite country is Japan. Really fell in love with that country and hope to get back.C. |

There's so many places that I still want to visit, yet I'd love to go back to every one of these:
United States (live here) Canada UK (England, Scotland, Wales) Ireland France Spain Germany Austria Lichtenstein Vatican City :-) Switzerland Italy Denmark Sweden Greece Malta Netherlands Iceland Greenland (so yeah, it's technically part of Denmark...) Belgium Poland Lithuania Russia Ukraine (when it was part of USSR) Turkey Israel China (incl. Hong Kong) Vietnam Cambodia Peru Brazil Argentina Panama Mexico Bermuda Morocco And...planning India for this summer! My favorite places are Iceland and the Peruvian rainforest; both for their incredible natural beauty but also for a spiritual "homecoming" feeling about them for me. I've been to a few of these places multiple times, and there's not one to which I wouldn't return, but I'd say my worst experiences were in Spain and Mexico, partly due to really oppressive weather. I'd like to return to both, though, as I'm sure my state of mind would be a bit different. ETA: There are photos of some of these, including the Peruvian rainforest schools that I visited this past summer, here: http://community.webshots.com/user/missalg Last edited by missalg : May 12th, 2008 at 09:23. Every year I go to Tienjin in China for another instalment of martial arts training.
We also try and get to the Mediteranean France or Italy each year for a slice of the good life.

I haven't travelled nearly as much as you guys, so my list is a lot smaller:
Switzerland UK Turkey Greece Israel Congo Zambia South Africa India Strange that hardly any of you have travelled to Central/Southern Africa ![]()
