The temperature's rising (it isn't surprising) with forecasts of 34C now and my indoor thermometer reading over 29. The AC is getting daytime use.

It's 18 Celsius and in 48 hours, it will be -6.

This is air temperature and not wind chill, which is lower than the air temperature. In winters, Americans love to talk about wind chill (effective temperature is lower due to wind chill effect) and in summers, they talk about heat index, which is higher than the air temperature.

We're covered with snow

Totally unusual for the end of April, snow is falling and the land is white here (outside of Munich).

It's tragic, as the beginning of April was unusually very warm and all flowers were already in full blossom. So this means probably no fruits this year.

I can understand your feeling, it is really sad not to see any fruits after waiting a full year in anticipation.

It is strange how sometimes weather almost plays out same way all over the world. Here too April start was exceptionally hot, and now it pleasant during day and cold at nights.

Here too. Must have been quite a shock in VT. Seems like spring has been lost. I suppose the weather gods had a bad GPS.
