Los Angeles, sunny, clear, high 80s? It's one of those extreme fire danger days that are so beautiful. Too bad I'm stuck inside.

In Melbourne Australia it is 11.00am now and hot (about 32 degrees C.) and sunny. Storms forcast later. It's lovely, pity we have to work!

Thunder and very dark clouds..........so all fingers crossed for some precipitation (we don't use the normal word here.....superstition prevents us as it may go away.)
Happiness is for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. (Anon.)

Arcata CA

I'm in Arcata California, a small town in the north of the state. The winter rains have begun and they probably won't let up till May. Can't wait to depart for the sub-continent on Dec. 19th!

In Delhi, mellow weather the winter is setting in. Clear sky with a bit of haze in the evenings.

In Mumbai, right now the weather's ok....
It's nice & pleasant in the mornings but gets downright blazing in the afternoons with a very dry breeze that spares not thought for your lips / eyes....

Well, that's how it is here.... heheh

Enjoy!

Chennai... Arrived Tuesday 1.00am in heavy rain. I think I've probably missed the worst of this unusually long wet period that has seen Chennai sufferring floods and filled its reservoirs to overflowing, although the forcast is promising more showers in days to come.

The strange thing is that it is cool! This is my first November here and I didn't think that daytime temperatures ever fell to low/mid 20s ---but they do and are! Humidity around 80% goes someway to make up for the low temperatures

So, if tales of the heat put you off Southern India ---rush here now!

Vizhinjam, Kerala - after 3 days of phenomenal rain I can finally get the washing dry - the ground was literally steaming in the heat this morning. Now it's a pleasant 26 degrees with intermittent cloud.

Larki55, I'm up for a snow fight - haven't seen snow for 18 months now and I must say I miss it, apparently the first frosts have just arrived, rather late, in middle England, see below ....... smileys working
