You lucky people with rain - and beautiful autumn trees, Peak.
Hot wind, like the 'loo', blowing, raising the dust and sand, full sun - it's hideous outdoors.

Hope your hot "loo" winds cease, Aishah. Here it is cooler daily, maximum 20 degrees in the daytime, plenty of rainstorms lately. Autumn came prematurely this year.

When I take a walk to the forest, I could post similar pics like Peak. Can't remember that we ever had such a colourful autumn. Temperature is around 18° today, yesterday almost 20°, so nice that it feels like being on holiday somewhere!

Are you sure it's proper rain and not just "heavy dew"? Anyway whatever it is you've sent it up country as usual.... the clouds are gathering here in Bristol.

Never mind, I'm off to India tomorrow!

Went to sleep on the synagogue steps; woke up with a heavy due on me.

Hmmm... You have to hear it. dew/jew, ok?

Right, enough with the jokes already: the weather here in Chennai is wet!

Too much confusion Nick, because the Cornwall saying is pronounced "evvy doo"...

Now you've reminded me of the Bengali lad on holiday in Orissa. I asked him what his favourite thing was, and he told me I really must go to Bhubaneswar to see the Jew, insisting that it is the best Jew in the whole of India.

It took me a few minutes of shock before I remembered that a lot of Bengali and Oriya people have trouble with the letter Z.

Me too, puchoo! isn't it great! My a/c went off for the last time night before yesterday. Now 2 days, no a/c. Outside is hot, but inside has cooled down due to the colder nights and it is fine, with windows closed in the hot time, with just the fan. Roll on winter is what I say!

Raining moderately with temperature going down. The coldest we get is around 11 to 12degrees.

Ha! It's colder in Mysore than in Crete, then, Ebby. We are hovering around 15 degrees C minimum and 25 degrees maximum. High humidity. And today a general strike kicks in (but so far they have not cut off the electricity).

Aishah - you cracked me up with the "too hot for mosquitoes" line.

Nick - politically correct, comme d'habitude, hein?
