Yoo hoo from Kathmandoo

It's high 66, low 41 Farenheit, completely clear, chilly AM and PM, pleasant sunny days.

AGAIN spent 1 1/2 hrs on a normally 40 min commute through the biggest sonwflakes I have ever seen. Happened this past Thursday as well.

Am already dreaming of my January business trip when I will trade motel for campground. Next January it will be Chennai!

PeakXV, that stunning pic is almost enough to make me regret moving to a tropical climate

contrabassista: just hope it has stopped raining by the time you get here! What was that I said about tropical climates ?

still in perth, oz, and it's official - the mildest start to summer in a gazillion years.
temps in low 20's, rain most days.
thank goodness there was an indoor heated pool when we went away this week!

Hi iwtgb,
That's WA for you.33C here at Murphys Creek today.Bit of a shock after the cold nights in Jaipur and Delhi recently but it's great to put on a pair of shorts again and get the beer near freezing rather than the night air.

mamallapuram

i am still in mamallapuram, tamil nadu - cannot find strength to leave this place, the best in otherwise grim state.
this place is not about beach or temples - the atmosphere from unending chat with travellers from all over the world over unending rows of beer bottles.
the weather is not that fine though - sometimes it's raining and rooms are damp but fortunately rain gods were mercyful and the coast has been spared by eternally looming cyclones. Some parts of Chennai and south Tamil Nadu are inundated by heavy rains and in desperate need of few sunny days.

... although they tell me all those exotic pinky, magenta colors in the sunset are from the growing green house gas particulate in-the-air problem here in North America

I'll take India .. (as he throws another two logs on the fire and chips the ice off his eyebows)

Cambridgeshire UK: last week was grotty with fog & ice. Yesterday & today, although cold we have beautiful sunshine. Not bad for a blighty winter!

Well, today in Melbourne was Hot, Humid, and thunderstorms in the evening.

On Wednesday, I travel to Singapore, which has thunderstorms forecast, then to Kuala Lumpur on Friday, which also expects thunderstorms.

And then onto Chennai on Saturday. And the long range forecast? Thunderstorms.

I'm definitely packing a plastic poncho.

has been below freezing (32F, I guess 0 C?) for about 10 days now, with about a foot of snow on the ground.... they say it is the coldest start to a December EVER, in this area....
