The FCO has lightened its travel advisory about Iran! 
It now only advises against all travel to parts of the country. Given that India shares exactly the same status, and that the parts advised against are the Iraq and Afghanistan border areas, I am perfectly happy to travel there. Plus, it means that I can now get travel insurance.
Now all that remains before I can visit dukkha and explore that fascinating country is that teensy little issue of obtaining a unicorn. Sorry, did I say unicorn? That would be far too easy, I meant to say Iranian visa...
