What's Making You Happy Right Now ?
All classes of travel except General Unreserved have been abolished.
Grctc (Glenmutchkin Rail Catering & Tourism Company) staff speak only Gaelic anyway.
The mad scrums to board the monthly(?) train are really scary. All journeys are circular.
See non-interactive map on the official grctc website

As it happens we have a Kolkata built FC coach about to enter service. Authentic down to the inward opening doors which allow the discerning traveller to travel in true Indian style. AC may not be needed en Ecosse but do watch out for the West Highland midge.

Apart from the hot - for England - weather, I've been following the tweets of stuntman Gary Connery for a while now and today was his big day, when he became the first person to land using a wingsuit and no parachute.
I watched it live and was pleased to see him walk away.

That would not make me happy, either, Nick.
What is making me happy is that with the students gone, we are doing paperwork today and I get to listen to....you guessed it...Shahrukh Khan songs all day!
I am at lunch right now, so I also get to be on IM for another ten minutes.

The voltage has been too low to run the AC: it is now 31C indoors, at 3.00am.Well, ok, that's not really making me unhappy: just a bit sticky!

(inside my computer case it's 42. I think its time I let it sleep it off)

only the 90s predicted for this long holiday weekend -- 90s and storms. I bought a big, potted bougainvilla today to remind me of India as I sit outside in the HEAT!
don't feel bad, Nick...my friend in Varkala told me that the power had been out for an entire day...things can always be worse!
