Palerider's indefatigable humour in the face of stuff that would probably just make me give up.

Thanks Palerider!

You're very sweet.

But when you think of the Mumbai stuff, mine is very small potatoes.
And the lahore stuff.

While being back in New York City at "Springtime" is not my best possible scenario - I have to say I am really happy at having been in India (just got back) and Pakistan for 30 days and me and the wife coming home totally healthy. Not even a little "tourist diarrhea." The acid test for me was staying at my guru's ashram in Vrindavan - where no matter how healthy and careful I'd been over the years - I always managed to get a 24 hour bout of fever and mad pooping and puking. Must be the new cook!

Sitting here in my kitchen waiting for parkin to cook and the smells fill the place and reading of Wazens adventures..dreaming of when we return to India again and see some more things and experience a tiny fraction of what he has is making me feel very happy.

Oh god I miss Mangoes and Jackfruit. It's never quite caught on in Oz, (jackfruit I mean).
I always miss Mango season.
If anyone in Bangalore and surrounds wants a proper mango fix, the regional mango research station is in Hessaraghatta, about 25 kms from Bangalore central.
402 types of mangos.

Oh.... I wish I had a jackfruit tree.

Having a rather strange sort of banana, that tastes good, but has large black seeds in it, is not making me happy.
