| What was your shortest trip to India What is the shortest length of time you spent in India? With regard to jet lag, was it too short? I want to go back, but don't have another free month, so I considering a quick week from the US. |

| I've made three trips of three weeks each. I don't get jet lag, but they were still too short because it usually costs me a week just to get from the fly-in point to where I want to go and back again.

| I flew to India for a dinner party last year. Arrived in Mumbai on early on 24th November and got to the party in Ooty ½ an hour before the party started! I wanted to stay longer, but departed on 5th December after being in India for only 12 days. It was my parents' 55th Wedding Anniversary, so it was worth the trip!

| Short trips The first time we went to India, we only had two weeks vacation, Everyone thought we were mad, but we figured it was better than staying home - and we were 100% right! I told this to someone recently who told me he flew from Germany to Thailand for 4 days and found it very relaxing to be away from the kids screaming for attention and "buy me this", etc. He read a book in peace on the plane, got some sun on the beach and good food in the evening and thought it was altogether a very smart idea. I'd do the same for Delhi! |

| On one arrival to India when I got to the hotel there was an urgent message waiting for me to fly to Taipei to help with a technical issue. I delayed it as long as I could to get some of that good Indian food, get my head together, and book a flight. So Left only 4 days after my arrival. From Taipei I had to fix a software problem in Sydney - so then flew to Australia after only 3 days in Taipei. After a week in Sydney, I had to fly back to Toronto for some urgent meetings. Spent a week in Toronto and then flew back to India arriving 3 weeks after my original touchdown! Don't really recommend those whirlwind tours but it's fun looking back on it now and those Frequent flier points are a nice bonus.

| Nothing is illegal until you get caught~ | 10 days....including travel time....I'd do it again in a second, any time is better than no time. Next time I do go I will take my kids with me so I'm not missing them every second and maybe I will stay a week or two longer. ![]()

| While I would have loved much longer (like three months), three weeks as a first-timer which was enough time for us to acclimatise and travel from Mumbai-Delhi via Udaipur, Jodphur, Jaipur, Agra. I think trying to do anything more would have left us exhausted - too many experiences in too short a time!! But I think I could take a one week visit (maybe a stopover on the way to Europe) if I was staying in one place and not trying to cram everything in. |

| Total travel time from US was one week, so that would be around 3 days in India. Quick business trip to Chandigarh, and back home. No time to worry about jet lag.

| Many working people find it difficult to take more than two weeks for any one trip. My times in India, when I had a job, were about 10 to 14 days each. |

| my shortest was a month. it worked out alright, though i was in no way ready to leave when the time came to go. i bought a special ticket that required only a one month stay. now, i would not even consider going for less than three months, though my next stay will be at least six.

| My next trip will be my shortest - 3 and a bit weeks. It was going to be shorter, about 2 weeks, but I quit my job and can afford to take an extra week over there before worrying about a new job ![]() If I had the money and limited time though, I'd still go for a week - better than nothing! |
