I wish i knew the name

I had wonderful tibetan stuff in india but I have no idea of the name of. It was lurid green and came in short sticks. i gave it up for fear of being hung, drawn and quartered by Australian customs and never remembered to write down what it was called. I will have to hunt for it again next year. Although everyone's devotion has made me curious about nag champa.

I had to leave a large role of incence behind , the thought of going through custems at heathrow with it worried me, not worth the hassle. !

actually nag champa is a plant. you can get the essential oil in st. armands key, fla. that i know of (but probably other places as well).

tibetan incense is mine but there are many different grades. i was just staying in kalimpong at a friend's who makes incense. the best is Dakpa Tamdin S... Khyunkyab. that maker has several grades, that is the best one. if you go to their own store in Kalimpong you can get for Rs50 a pack.

I love Nag Champa and the nice thing is it's really cheap compared to some - it's about $2.50 here for one of the bigger boxes, I also love the packaging.

For me Nag Champa still rules ,but , there is always an escape clause ,as a luxury have been using Pure-incense "absolute" Temple grade incense sticks "Jasmine" they have to be the finest ,can turn a head at 50 paces !!!!! Indian made ,purchased in the U K .

I like some of the tibetan stuff with the good quality agarwood mixed in. They claim it's not habit forming ... but I have my doubts.

I'm gonna say the jasmine. Nothing beats the smell of jasmine for me.

Thumbs up

I just got some funky Yolmo Shaman's incense with a recent shipment from Nepal. Not sure what composition of 'herbs' are there - but am feeling pleasently lite-headed half way through the second stick.

Are we talking about the brand name here or the scent?
