My partner's arrival on Monday looking highly unlikely because of the flight ban, and my upcoming visit to stay with him is also at threat.
I was really looking forward to spending some time together.
What REALLY made me go Grr... this morning is realising that I'm out of milk so I can't even have a nice cup of tea, but that's my own stupid fault.

Grrrrrr Grrrrrrr! Sorry, I don't really have anything really to 'grrrrr' about this morning ..... but I thought that I'd sign up for this thread ...... in case I can't ever find it again.

Grrrr, Grrrrr - some of us don't realize that some of us have slower systems where it is much easier to post .... than to open/run another application(re: subscribe) which may or may not hang your system.

That stinks, Haylo! Sorry
I threw my back out yesterday during Yoga. I'm still in a lot of pain and of course it being late on Friday, my dr's office was already closed. No pain pills till Monday, and Ibuprofen isn't doing squat.

Just generally feeling sorry for myself.
And not happy about the site navigation being such a pain in the ass Grrrrrrrr!

Oh how horrible, back pain is so miserable, you just cannot get comfortable.
After a recent car accident the hospital told me to take ibuprofen AND paracetamol, which helped a lot more than ibuprofen on its own. If you cannot get to a hospital for an emergency appointment you might want to consider finding out more about that possibility for a few days until you can get to a doctor.

Yeah, second that, I was told that for a toothache I had years ago but they stated only 24 hours. Four weeks ago I developed a nasty shoulder problem and was told to take the medication and paracetamol for two whole weeks! Certainly worked a treat, although the less painful problem is still with me...hey, another grrrr....great
err, I mean
Thanks Haylo
Just checked and it appears Paracetamol is what we call acetaminophen in the United States. Great, I have that (Tylenol) at home!
Hope your partner's flight issue is resolved quickly, and you are reunited soon. I feel so bad for all the people affected by the volcanic ash
Edit - thanks Ocean Tragic, glad the combo helped you as well. Teenager's been sent off to get me some Tylenol. Might as well enjoy the free labor will I can as he goes off to Europe then college in 2 months!

Quite a lot of common combination painkillers are paracetamol and ibuprofen combinations.
What I prefer to do, is to alternate them. The dose for both is every six hours, so you take one and then, after three hours, the other, and so on.
I am not a doctor and I'm not prescribing for anyone wouldn't dream of it especially paracetamol which is an astonishingly dangerous drug but this works for me and I was originally given the idea by a doc...
phew.

namaste_cat,
Sending you Get Well Wishes. Yoga injuries are no fun. Hope that the painkillers arrive soon. A hot bath and some Tiger Balm on the sore part might help a bit. Or, if you can find any, Tiger Balm patches (like Hansaplast but impregnated with Tiger Balm). I use them a lot myself for muscle aches/joint pain. Then, when chemist opens, try to find some Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum) which you should start taking as soon as possible - it is a natural anti-inflammatory and works like a charm on such injuries. Also drink ginger tea to get the circulation going to the hurt parts.
Good luck.
