I just got home from a concert, with a flat tire. Put the spare on. Ate some cold chicken. Will now have a hot drink and worry about where my cat is...

Sounds like a hell of a day Nick. Hope the concert was a good one at least.

It was very good. Still missing a cat, which is worrying, at this time of night.

I can relate to that. Once my cat was missing for two nights. We put papers with a picture of her all around the neighborhood. She was found two days later by some kids.
Well, she's gone for over a year now....

Edit: Just realising this might be misleading. She did not die while she was missing. She died many years later on diabetes.

$350.00 bill from the vet the last time I let the cat out at night. The Doc had to remove another animal's tooth fragment from the back of her head. Not again, when the sun goes down & the nasty varmints/critters come out - the cat comes in.

Did you try rattling it's food dish in the backyear, Nick? Those felines can here that a mile away it seems.

I've tried the magic word "fish". She's not within earshot.

However, one night does not a lost cat make. We'll see tomorrow.

Good day everyone.

Here's hoping your cat will be found soon Nick. I know it can drive one crazy not knowing where she is and if she's all right...

Thanks for the best wishes. I'm afraid she is still missing.

However, one day does not a lost cat make, especially if it is Saturday-night/Sunday: she could be locked in some place that won't be opened until tomorrow morning.

Still worrying ...

I think your cat read your post about your complaining that she wants to go out and in very often. But I hope she will find her way back to you. Maybe now she is happy with an other cat.

She was only kept in while she was being treated: normally, she is an inside-outside cat, and has returned to that routine.

It is, as they say, tough out there on the street. What can we do?

Yeah but she sounds like she is streetwise, so try not to worry too much.

Cheers. She is, but these days, is mostly a garden cat.

Time will tell.

In London avoiding doing any of the paperwork I should be doing! Distracted by thoughts about my next trip to India (5 months starting August 8th) & worrying about Nick's cat. Hope she returns soon.

The cat of some friends is away two/three days sometimes. Turns out some neighbors are feeding him also.
