Talking Weather mid-north india mid December-early Jan?? hot or mild?

Just wondering what temperatures in celcius I can be expecting for Rajasthan/Delhi/Varanasi etc around mid Dec-early Jan? I have read that it will be about 20 degrees celcius but then someone told me the other day that it would be more like 30 degrees....can anyone help me here? I realise nepal is going to be a bit cooler...

Thankyou

Delhi in early January can get as low as 5C at night, though usually a bit warmer than that. Warmer, of course, in the daytime.

A book I was sent by the tourist board of India gives high/low average January temps in Delhi as 21C/6C.

Send a message via Yahoo to bijapuri
and don't be surprised if a layer of smog the likes of which you can't begin to imagine settles in over the capitol, grounding all flights and choking all living things.

For touring north India winder is best season,Delhi or Jaipur as ww said day/night 21c/6c.Days will be warmer.
Onething for flight schedules can be delayed, because of low visibility due to heavy fog.So have to be prepared for it.

Last December in Varanasi/ Madhya Pradesh... some really hot days in places and chilly nights where you definitely need the blanket on the bed. I think it was a particularly cold winter with some deaths.

Look at this diagram if you are still thinking about bringing the skis...
