Hi.....
Has anyone stayed with families in villages? Everything I have 'found' is so expensive ($75us a night per person!!!! )and contrived. At this point I think we may just talk to a village chief in a pleasant area and see if we can stay a night or 2 with a family. As they say, anything is possible in India. My sister and I are taking our 2 boys 11 and 13 and would like this as part of our trip. Was wondering if anyone has done this. |

Which area are you looking at?
There's a nice place near Chamba called Orchard Hut (discussed in this thread ) which I've stayed at before, the host family are lovely and they have a son roughly the same age as your kids (and a few dogs to play with also). If you'd like more info PM me, I've probably talked about them enough on this site for a while ![]() |
