Useless Information.
Did you know?
To tell the time in Great Britain when you are in India; turn your watch upside down.
(Doesn’t work when Britain puts the clocks forward for British Summer Time)
Anyone else have some useless information?

I could have sworn there was a "Useless fact of the day!!" thread somewhere but cannie find it back.
Anyway just to let you know that Bugs Bunny was born today July 27th 65 years ago to the day, pronouncing the historical words: "What's up, Doc?"

To tell the time in the US when you are India just look at your watch (no turning upside down necessary) but change the AM to PM. However, it will be off the half hour (as India is 5.5+ GMT) andd ofcourse the US has 4 time zone and changes the time forwards ans back twice a year. But you should have one of the time zones (I don't know which) spot-on at any given time.
crvlvr: During Dayling Savings Time (that is, during the summer), it will be on the half-hour between Mountain Time and Pacific Time. In other times, it will be between Central and Mountain Time.
There is no (phone number) directory service for cell phone numbers in India -- as far as I know. Also, the phone number you have to dial from a cell phone to a landline may be different than if you are calling the same number from another land line. Sometimes to have include the "area code" when you call from the cell phone.
Quote:
You always have to include the area code when dialling from a cell to a land line. When dialling from a cell to another cell within India, you dial the number straightaway, except when the called no. is outside the "circle", in which case you prefix the called no. by "0".
Now I'm not too sure this is useless information !
Whoever said money can't buy happiness didn't know where to shop !
