two week trip?!?
Is it feasible to go to India for a two week trip (apart from goa)?
Do people do this? It seems that india is one of those places people spend months on end travelling in rtaher than a quick two-week jaunt. I just came back from an extended trip round Himachal Pradesh & Ladakh and am desperate to go back again, but now I'm back in the 'real world' there is no way i can take more than 2 weeks off. What kind of places can you go? i am worried i'll be tempted to head off and never go back to my job! |

It wouldn't work from N.A. due to the amount of flying and jet-lag, but may be more reasonable from Britain, particularly if you can get close to your desired destination in one hop. An example might be getting a 2 week, flight only, charter to Goa then taking a little trip around northern Karnataka which has some interesting spots (like Hampi) and spending a couple of days at the beach before catching your flight home. Should be some cheap flights early January in the lull after the holiday crunch.
If your gateway options are only Delhi and Mumbai, probably not worth it as you would waste too much of your time in logistics (but then again, maybe that's just me as I hate cities) mike |

Shortest trip I did was three weeks and I packed a lot of living in that three weeks. Jaipur, Agra, Srinigar, Delhi, and Varanassi.
Right now if I only had two weeks, for me I would just find a nice hotel with a soft bed and a good view and just chill. That's my ideal vacation, stock up on the junk food, sleep all day long, and never leave the room. But that's just me and I work way to many hours and just need a few weeks of sleep to make up for what I have missed. Mike ![]() |

Lots of tourists complete the Rajasthan - Agra - Varanasi circuit in two weeks, sometimes with Khajurao included.
PM me if you want a detailed itinerary!

hey guys
thanks for all the replies i already did the varanasi/agra thing. maybe rajasthan, although its a place I'd like to spend a long time in and linger rather than a 2weeks thing. I wanna go up to Kashmirat some point....also down to Kerala..again, I'd like to do that on an extended trip. the beaches in goa maybe an option. again, its so hard cos i know once i get there i may be tempted to stay longer! |
