Talking the new Bush $200 bill

according to the news item linked, a convenience store clerk in the US accepted a $200 bill with Bush's image on the front and a picture of the White House with a lawn full of posters as legit. Paid for $150 worth of groceries and got $50 in change .

Hmmm.. I've got inlaws from North Carolina, so I hesitate to say what is so obvious about the intelligence of the former clerk (I assume he lost his job over this one).

Do you think they'd cash these in India?

When we changed over from pounds to dollars, we had a $2 bill, it took over from the old one pound note, same colour. We also had a $1 bill which took over from the ten shillings note, again same colour but it was phased out fairly quickly, we still have the $5 bill, all that will buy now is a bottle of cheap red!!

Colin, I wish I hadn't read.......

I really wish I hadn't read that last post there because all I have running through my head now are the lyrics "cheap wine, and a three day growth............."
