When it reaches one end, it just bounces back and heads for the other.

(just like a packet on an un-terminated network)

As they say:

In India everybody is a Doctor
All Public places are toilets

Indians will fast understand the first part, you mention some illness and everybody will offer you a remedy.

The second one everybody understands................

The first western loo in Britain was in the Royal Palace. It was such a great thing, and stopped the stench so well, that it was installed in the audience chamber.

Pissing off the Royals takes on a whole new meaning...seriously.

if you want to get serious: crapper did not invent the flushing toilet.

however, it's much more fun to believe that he did.

I saw an early version of the squat toilet at Agra Fort. It looked about the same as a modern Indian squat toilet except it was carved out of stone. The waste just flowed down a spout and into the moat.

According to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flushing_Toilet
The Indus Valley Civilization had flushing toilets!
But then according to
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTib5ic8cMI
So was the queen

There are two nice versions in Padmanabapuram Palace in Tamil Nadu, the places where you're supposed to stand are carved out of the stone in the shape of feet. The luxury version
