They know they should, but they don't do, as far as I know (usually I am not accompanying men to the toilet )

But one thing for sure: many love to use the big open toilet (=nature). Especially on the borders of the roads, where everybody can see them

Many a bar brawl in Canada has been started with those slightly outspoken, always pointed words like - 'hey boys, see that guy over there, I bet he squats when he pees!'

Nope - not a real good idea for safety sake to try & deurinalize your man in the great white north.

Well, he pushed some buttons, explained, and stuff happened, but he didn't disrobe to do so. Japan, after all- everybody seems to be so correct.

I have always encouraged my menfolk to do so, with high rate of success. For a start it means they never get it wrong and piddle on my bathroom floors!
And avoiding the little sprinkle marks all around the rim!

this brings to mind a little notice on the walls common in Northern India - 'dekho gadha moot raha hai' translated as - look a donkey is peeing. Apparently that remedy doesn't work.

Can we just go ahead and merge this thread with all the others dealing with pee and poo?
Nah, then IM would just be one big thread.

Good to know
After I came to know in the 1980ies that in Japan they have preheated toilet seats I am always interested in their new inventions in this sector.

Who needs fancy button gizzmos? Let's hear it for Goan pig toilets! Although I was never quite sure how much added sand was good etiquette / cordon blue from the pig's point of view.

Perhaps an expert - and dare say IM has a few tuning in to this seriously neverending thread - could enlighten me here.

Lead pipes weren't such a great idea. Could explain why the Julio-Claudians were such a mad bunch!
