The boredom of returning home?

Anyone else get freaking bored when they home? I've got 3 months to kill until I fly back to Delhi. I've travelled all around the world, so its not as though it was a culture shock coming back. Although I certainly don't feel its home anymore. I just find it very frustrating since it all seems so mundane. Any tips?

My Grandmother once told me that places are never boring, things are never boring and days are never boring; it is only people who are boring.

While that is a trifle harsh, as I do know where you're coming from, it's not easy for me to be truly sympathetic to your "plight".

If you are that desperate, you could always get a challenging job until you can resume your travelling lifestyle.

There's a link in my signature about culture shock. It talks about the well-known phenomenon of reverse culture shock as well.

It won't tell you much new; it may tell you you're not alone in this.

I know how you feel Golden Chapati. (love the name). I've just got back from a flying visit and I hadn't been for five years. I'm trying to unpack everything as slowly as possible and saving "treats" such as trying on new clothes/downloading pics/watching my dvd stash. The theory is that it won't make my life feel so mundane and I will have something to look forward to. My suitcase still has that india smell on it so i go sniff it occasionally if things get too much!
