For some reason I always remember this smack-down by -m2- back in the day:

Quote:
Like they say, 'you only get one chance to make a good first impression' and you blew yours.

The moving finger writ, and having writ, moved on...

It would be nice to see -m2- again

Ay, he's still around. Great guy too, I was fortunate enough to meet him (and Klompen) in Goa on my first Indian trip. He had some great stories, was one of a small group of really inspirational posters on IM back then. I think after spending the late 60s overlanding it to India, he used to drive down to South America from Vancouver on his motorbike in the winter during the 70s, and I believe he spent most of the 80s island-hopping in S/E Asia before finding a home back in Goa during the 90s. I also seem to remember some stories of sailing it across the South Pacific at some stage.

Something nice from a private life of an Indiamiker:

"My woman's asleep though and I shouldn't be typing too much, it disturbs her. More later."
