Thank you mother India
Ive been waiting to go to India for 7 years, reading everything I can get my hands on about India.falling in love with the saints and yogis of india and the beauty of the people, the example of living the Indian culture has given us,well I just can not put in words.I have been spending the last 7 years trying to live up to the example mother India has given me and I pray through the blessings of God and Guru that I am able to achieve the highest example India has given us all.I feel blessed that God has given me this chance to go home to my mother India.I would also like to say thankyou to all you people that are helping make that trip easier.

Bharat Mata
Ammadas,
I hope that "Bharat Mata" is all that you expect it to be. You will either love it or hate it. All the best! ![]() |

Ammada, glad you're going to India and realizing your dream. I can understand and almost feel your thoughts. Here's what I am scared about, and felt I better caution you about: I hope you will have exactly the same feeling about India when you come back that you have right now. Remember, India is not one country, as treditionally coutries are, it is a vast land of tremendous history, vast present and bright future. It is also largely an anarchy in that people do make their own constitution than relying on what government gave them. As a foreigner who has has lived in a reasonably comfortable life in the west, you are very likely to be confronted by a harsh reality, in that people over there take each day as it comes, trying to earn some living to ensure two square meals a day for their children. If you are going to India with an utopean view, you will very likely be disappointed. Do not keep very high hopes, either of meeting yogis or saints, or somehow attaining enlightenment. Infact, go there with no hopes at all. That might help you.
Moreover, India is not one coutry. It probably is, in the charter of United Nations, But when you come to think of it, as I do as an Indian, we have no country, no boundaries, and no religion. India tends to love everyone, including its enemys. |
