Tales about the Gods in child language

Hi,

We are going to India and we willtake our kids (5 and 3 years old). In order to explain some of the things they are going to see (and to better understand them ourselves ;-) ) we are looking for stories about the gods, the ramayana, folk tales etc. in child language.

We've tried to google it , but didn't really find any appropiate stuff. Can anybody point the way.

Hans

If you wait until you get there you can pick them up at most major train stations for about 20-50 rupees (can't remember exactly, but they were cheap) - they're in English and have nice pictures. Just look out for the guys with the book barrows.

Hello Hans,

I suppose your kids understand the dutch language?
If so, then try this website, I think it's an excellent way to explain all about all sorts of religion.
