studying CG in india... possible?!

hi experts,
not sure if it's best to post this here or in the geek-speak section...
for the past months i've been studying computer graphics (maya and after effects) by myself.
now i'm thinking of studying in a college in india. since i'm more familiar with delhi and the northern states i was looking for a place there, but i can't really find any. from my
initial search on the web it seems chennai or banglore are the places to go.
so at the moment i'll be glad for ANY comments: is chennai THE place for that at the moment?
which college would you recommend? what are the prices like? what are the studies like?
i'm hungry for any information and it's a bit hard to understand the web sites...
