which are some of the hotels and restaurants with the strangest names that you have stayed in/eaten at in india??? did the hotel or restaurant live up to its name??

for me, the hotel with the most outlandish name that i stayed in is a easy pick. its a hotel in bhopal called the hotel RED SEA PLAZA. and true to its name when i looked out the window of my hotel i could see the red sea in the distance. if i looked straight down from the window, the sight of the "plaza" at the bhopal railway station backyard greeted me. so there you have it. hotel in bhopal from where both red sea and plaza can be seen.

cant think of the restaurant with the strangest name i have eaten in off the top of my head. will post when i can think of it.

Which reminds me...

Signs saying "Hot Chat" always make me think it must be a naughty-phone-call company --- not a place selling snacks!

Hotel Shelter in Gwalior - for about a year their hotel sign said "Hotel Shitter"! which was always highly amusing - then one day the name changed to Shelter, which was debatable in the monsoon when water poured in the ceiling.

Never forget the "House of Good Food Simple", a basic wooden shack on a beach in the gilli islands of indonesia with the best fish fry in the world.

should i start a thread about strange menu item names as well. here in singapore the unquestioned king of all available fare is the "pigs organ soup". i remamber having a supposedly indonesian dish called the "fukusa zusa" in a hotel in puri. my indonesian friends here in college have assured me that no such dish exists...
