Sri Lanka/South India Advice

My daughter recently granduated from college -- for her gaduation present we will be traveling together in Sri Lanka and south India in April. We made these plans prior to the tsunami. Also, I spent considerable time in India back in the early 70s (in the good old overland from Europe days), so am familar with India (from a 30 year's ago perspective) but have never been to Sri Lanka.

Advice, comments, suggstions -- all would be very welcome . . . Thanks! Larry

I don't know what exactly u want to know here, since u have already been to South India.

Anyway, do not go towards Nagapattinam, that place is still recuperating from the tsunami.

In Chennai - go to Dalshin Chitra / cholamandalam artisans village on East Coast Road. Go to Pondicherry.

Other places to visit - Madurai, Tanjore and Trichy.

In Kerala go to Aleppy / Kumarakom for Backwater cruise, Thekkady, Munnar and Padmanabha Puram palace near trivandrum.

In Karnataka - go to Mysore, Hampi, Belur, Halebid, Shravanabelagola, Badami, aihole, Pattadakkal.....u can go to Karwar as wel for beaches...

Anything else ??
