Sending small presents to India
I was in Colva last year and my taxi driver and I became friends (not that sort of friends - I am well over 60) - his wife was expecting a baby and I promised to send some baby things - big prob - said his sister-in-law - as the post might get `flicked'.
The baby (Kimberly - and no I should not have sent Name this Child to them - what an awful name for a beautiful Indian baby girl) has now arrived. As promised I went to the Post office with my largish package - as luck would have it - the man behind the counter was from Goa and he suggested SwiftAir and it worked just fine - all arrived safely and quickly at much less cost than courier. Just thought this might be helpful for present sending. enid |
