Feb. 6, 2004 — Japan's biggest snow festival, featuring more than 300 snow statues and ice sculptures, was set to open in this northern city, with organizers expecting to attract some two million tourists from around the world... This year's biggest attraction, in terms of size, among the 311 sculptures is a replica of India's most famous architectural monument, the Taj Mahal, standing 15 meters (49 feet) tall and measuring 30 meters in width, said Kimihito Nakamura, spokesman for the festival organizing committee. |
