Satyamev Jayate - Do we have Aamir Khan on IM
I am hoping this is not too confusing or incorrect as a thread title, so mods please change it if required.
Aamir khan is up with a TV show on Star plus "Satyamev Jayate". Watched the promos and seems like he has traveled across India - The promo Video
Now looking at the kind of homework and hardwork he puts on his movie characters or movies, I am sure he did the same for this.
What can be a greater travel site for India than IM and am wondering if he is an IMer
I am not a fan of actors/actresses but he is one of the few who are good at what they do.
So Aamir are you an IMer?

aamar payer tolai sorshe...(I have wheels under my feet)
saw the first episode. to put it mildly - 'twas bloody good.
it's evident - this programme is going to deal with india's social 'corruptions'.
what was commendable was - there was an absence of high-horse-morality / judgemental attitudes / the-wrong-be-dammed.
there was no 'jai ho'
unfortunately - the programme has no english subtitles - target audience being just indians in india.
but anyway - if one wants to have a looksee -
satyamev jayate : 6th May 2012
deals with female foeticide.
hajaar salaams aamir bhaisaab - well done

There is a repeat show in the evening also around 10 PM (exact time not sure) on Star Plus. Last evening it was coming.

It's more of documetarization (!) of a talk show. The onus could have been put on the youth! I don't know how many youths like such a heavy lecture!Youths (of both the genders) will have to be morally strong and would have to learn to say no to the such parents!
Best of luck... Society! Take Care!!
saw it more as an eye-opener - as opposed to a lecture
and it really is as much for parents of the youth - if not, even more.
because its them so-called literate [as opposed to educated
] 'adults' who so generously pass on them taboos.
and - its for urban indians - where the rot seeps the deepest.
a pieces of paper from IIT/IIM or any ivy league - dont necessarily mean - one is educated
... and what better way to catch people's attention - than, by a bolloywood'ian.
if folks dont catch it on tv - they'll catch it on youtube
the fact that in the year 2012 - this land is still rife with female foeticide - that in itself is heinously shameful.
so much for spiritual india

got one review - other than someone suing the production for lifting the chorus of the soundtrack.
it'd be more than interesting to read a review with opposing comments. different perspectives can only do good !!
so if anybody does read one - please do post it.
thank you.

I second ....

Thanks for the info.
Even the TV programs targeting youths don't have such attracting potential ... youths are careful to society too... it'll be catchy one!!!

"Rocking" in all the sense .. I mean !!!

again I second ....
Or Truth shall prevail (literally Truth will be victorious). The truth being referred in the text is the Spiritual Truth.

Aamir showed a sensitivity which many TV journalists lack when getting the victims to talk. The songs are haunting too. The amount of research the team put in for the show clearly reflects in the quality of the show. Hopefully this show will do some good.
For the youth? Well, I study abroad and I made it a point to watch this show. So did some of my friends here. Some just 'liked' the idea of it but didn't actually watch it. I am not sure they will sit down and watch it. That tells you something, doesn't it?
Sure, we are a minority, but an increasing minority. When I say we, I don't mean just students, I mean people with a social conscience and a willingness to do something for our country. Good times are ahead for India.
Eagerly waiting for the second episode..
