I want to get a few salwar suits when i get to delhi. Can anyone point me to a good place with reasonable prices and cotton material? I will be staying in the Tibetan settlement (Majnu Ka Tilla) until venturing north, so would like to find a place rather close to there.

Salwar suits are commonly available almost everywhere in Delhi [can't say about Majnu ka Tila though]. These are usually sold as whole cloth pieces rather than readymades but even the latter are usually quite easy to find in any market of substantial size in a residential area. I won't recommend getting into that hassle of buying cloth and getting it stitched. If you're looking to buy them for a formal occassion, I'd recommend Karol Bagh. You'll find dozens of stores there. You can buy casual everyday salwar suits everywhere. If you're travelling towards south delhi [Majnu Ka Tila IS in north

], you must check out FabIndia. They have a nice website http://www.fabindia.com/ [click on Stores > new delhi and check out the maps at the bottom]

They are available every where....any garment shop.
If u want a wide range and variety, then go to one of the larger retail outlets...
