Proximity - New Delhi train station to Delhi airport

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the New Delhi train station to the Delhi airport for Domestic flights?

I meant, if I took a taxi from the New Delhi train station, how long do you think it will take me to get to the airport for domestic flights?

At least 45 minutes in a cab and over an hour by autorickshaw

From NDLS to DEL ? You mean from New Delhi train station to Old Delhi train station ? Then you are right about a car taking 25 mins. and an auto 40.

I took one hr to reach Delhi airport from Delhi railway station - at around 7.30 pm in the night.

I am not sure abt the traffic scene during the rest of the day.

Sorry to highjack this thread -but

We are participating in an exhibition at Pragati maidan in march and will be obliged if any one can answer the following.

How far is Pragati maidan from
1. New delhi Train station,
2. CP
3. Delhi Airport.

Any good small inexpensive hotels / guesthouses that you could recommend in the area.

I would allow at least 40/45 minutes from New Delhi Train station to the Domestic Airport by cab. It depends on the time of day, of course, but it's far better to be on the generous side .......

Between 8am & 7pm I very much doubt you could do it in under an hour,,,,,,
Why be so precise, why take the risk, If you're not waiting at the airport your waiting someplace else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
