Pre paid taxis

Hi Folks

Does anyone know if you can pay for pre-paid taxi's at the airport with stirling? Given that I've been told cannot take Rs into India.

Not sure about that, but there will be somewhere at the airport to change your money, so it's not a problem...ENJOY

You can take upto Rs5000 into India but not more and there are exchange counters at all airports in India which are open 24/7 so you should not have any problem in getting currency changed or even get cash from your credit card at the ATM just outside the airport arrival halls. It is not a problem to get a taxi from the prepaid counter at most airports and the government run taxis are the cheaper ones the others are just car hire companies which give out their cars on hire for the trip and charge you for almost the whole day's trip!!! Hope this helps.
