I finally realized I needed to resize my pics. Now I just need to figure out how to upload more than one at a time.

..... yup it's been game on since those rumours of a free trip to India for the taker of the photo of the month started surfacing.

> am having trouble uploading my pictures.

I had a similar problem the other day. It wasn't until the 3rd attempt that I realised that the photos I was trying to u/l were larger than the max. specified size.

Once I reduce the size (just a fraction), they uploaded without any problems.

Perhchance you've done the same as I ???

Cheers

Change in Photo of the Month algorithm

Hi all,

One of the members recently brought to my attention that the current algorithm that picks the photos of the month has a flaw.

Currently, the algorithm purely picks on average of all the votes for the picture over a certain period of time. However, this will pick an image that has 3 '10' votes over an image that has 7 '10' votes and 1 '9' vote, which doesn't seem right.

So, starting next month, the images will be selected by sum of their total votes first.

Hey All,

Just got back from my first Indian adventure last week and have so far only put together a best of collection.

I don't have the time to reduce the sizes of all of them right now, so if anyone is interested they can check out this public link for my facebook album.

Thanks to all on this forum for helping to make the trip run as smoothly as possible.

Cheers

Your photos are great, the focus/DOF on the snake charming one is spot on but I really like the Jaipur monkey eating. You must have had an incredible trip.

Did you have more luck in Ranthambhore on the morning or afternoon safaris. How many did you do?

Any equipment tips for me, I'm going in 7 weeks? I've got SonyA300 DSLR with 18-300mm covered, a f1.7 50mm, UV/polarisers, monopod but what am I missing?
